The popular believe is that South America is the land of football today, despite the fact that the game was created in Europe. The first world cup was hosted in South America by Uruguay; a tournament they also won in 1930. As time progressed, football grew the more in Europe with so many teams being at the next world cup and of course doing lot better than previous times.
